How long does training take ?

The amount of training you need depends wholly on your dog’s specific issues. I will recommend a certain number of sessions, based on your dog’s behavioral assessment and our conversation at our Initial Consultation.

How much time do I need to put into training ?

Training sessions between you, me and your dog last one hour per session. It’s important that you practice the methods and techniques you learned with your dog for a minimum of 5 to 25 minutes per day, depending on the behaviors we are working on. The more time you put in, the better the results you’ll see.

What training methods do you use ?

I practice positive reinforcement (R+) training methods exclusively, involving high value treats to reinforce desired behaviors, and alternate behaviors combined with scientific psychological approaches to modify behavioral tendencies.

Do you train my dog, or do you train me ?

All training sessions include you and your dog. I believe that focusing on the bond between you and your dog will lead to the best possible outcomes both during and after training.

How often should training happen ?

After our initial training session, I recommend that you train with your dog a minimum of 5 minutes per day, and up to 30 minutes, depending on the skills you’re hoping to achieve. The more time you put into helping your dog understand these new behaviors, the more success you’ll have !

What kind of experience do you have ?

I have had extensive experience with reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, fearfulness, fear-aggression, sound sensitivity, separation anxiety and behavioral modification and new learning structure. In every case, I advocate for the dog and strive to build trust and communication skills between dog and owner.

How does pricing work ?

Single sessions are priced at $135 per session. Packages start at 5 sessions with a 5% discount, and progress to 10%, then top out at 20%. The discount percentage and amount saved is clearly stated on each package.

How does scheduling work ?

All scheduling is done via the scheduling app on my website: if you purchase a package, you will receive a specific code to use in lieu of payment when you proceed to book each individual training session.
